The MB Fund helps cover the gap of what is not covered by tuition. There is a gap that exists which makes up the difference between what tuition covers and the actual cost of educating a student. The MB Fund also supports financial aid — helping to make an MBS education accessible for any deserving student regardless of their background or financial circumstances.

Area of Greatest Need

When you give to the Area of Greatest Need, you are supporting the School’s highest priorities throughout the year and allowing us to direct the funds to where they’ll be most impactful. Your gift provides funds for MBS to use right away and allows the School to respond to immediate issues and opportunities, whatever they are and whenever they arise.

Arts

More than just singing or painting, a dynamic range of Upper and Middle School programs weaves the arts into student life, sparking reflection and meaningful community dialogue.

Academics

Supports students by investing in curriculum enhancements, state-of-the-art classroom technology, and immersive hands-on experiences both in and beyond the classroom.

Athletics

Athletics are central to the MBS experience. Your support ensures student-athletes have the coaching, equipment, facilities, and resources they need to succeed on and off the field.

Community Building Programs

Helps fund educational initiatives like speakers, conferences, student retreats, and special events that help create a more inclusive, and supportive community.

Faculty Professional Development

Lifelong learning drives the MBS experience, and gifts to faculty development provide teachers with resources to grow, innovate, and enrich our community

Financial Aid

Contributions to financial aid help create a diverse community and ensure every deserving student can attend MBS, regardless of their family’s financial resources.

The MB Fund Leadership Circles

Donors who make a gift of $5,000 or more to the MB Fund become part of an MBS Leadership Circle and are invited to the annual Head of School Reception.

Matching gifts count toward giving levels.

The School's fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30.

The MB Fund Parent Committee

The MB Fund Parent Committee consists of generous parents who support The MB Fund and understand the importance of philanthropy at MBS.

The purpose of this volunteer committee is to help educate current parents on what The MB Fund is and why it's crucial to support it at any level.
