Upper School/Middle School French and Spanish Teacher
Position Summary
Morristown-Beard School seeks a vibrant, intellectually engaging Upper School/Middle School French and Spanish Teacher to join a forward-looking, diverse learning community. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with a mastery curriculum that emphasizes meaningful communication, practicing the language in context, and developing cultural awareness as well as linguistic competencies. This educator embraces progress while acknowledging that learning a language involves cycles of acceleration and adjustment. The candidate of choice should possess high standards for both student and professional growth and should be open to teaching in the Middle School if needed. Possessing a sincere desire to contribute to the school community, the ideal candidate should be open to advising students, coaching, directing a club, or supervising activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
Required qualifications: a bachelor’s degree, native or near-native proficiency in spoken and written Spanish and French, strong background in Spanish and French cultures and literature, proficiency with Spanish and French language pedagogy, ability to teach Spanish and French from the beginning level through Advanced Placement, proficiency with technology, commitment to working cooperatively with members of the World Language Department and a demonstrated commitment to an inclusive academic community.

Middle School Science Instructor

- Implements Project-Based Learning techniques and strategies
- Facilitates and designs effective group work
- Provides timely feedback and collaborates with faculty to offer specialized support
