Five Seniors Named Commended Students in National Merit Program

Congratulations to MBS seniors Liam Johnson ’27, Hannah Kopit ’27, Madison Marks ’27, Valerie Myronova ’27, and Shawn Ramasamy ’27, who have been named Commended Students in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program.

They are among 34,000 students nationwide honored for their exceptional academic promise, placing in the top five percent of more than 1.3 million juniors who entered the competition by taking the 2025 PSAT/NMSQT.

"Those being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success," commented a spokesperson for NMSC. "These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation.
