Congratulations to MBS sophomore Zachary Braun ’25, who recently earned the Bronze Presidential Volunteer Service Award for his volunteer work with SNAP (Special Needs Athletic Programs) of Morristown.
In addition to being engaged in weekly mentoring at SNAP’s sports clinics, Zach co-authored a new mentor training manual for SNAP entitled SCORE (Show up, Commit, Open mind, Relate, Empathy/evaluate). He also spent countless hours fine-tuning a presentation that will debut at SNAP’s new mentor training on September 21.
“SNAP is an organization that prides itself in providing free sports clinics for kids with special needs. This can only be successful with the assistance of mentors like Zach who go above and beyond to provide a meaningful experience for these well-deserving kids,” said SNAP Director Kimberle Strasser. “His positive attitude and leadership skills are assets we are proud of. I look forward to Zach mentoring for SNAP in the future and inspiring others.”
At Morristown Beard School, Zach is a member of the winter track and lacrosse teams. He is also active with the Future Physicians of America Club and the Interdisciplinary Concentrations Program (ICP).
