Congratulations to MBS rising senior Zac Taylor ’22, who was recently invited to audition for the popular TV show America’s Got Talent. During spring break, he traveled to Los Angeles, where he met host Terry Crews and sang for celebrity judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara.
Part of Zac’s audition aired on AGT on Tuesday, July 20 on NBC, and Zac received four enthusiastic ‘yeses’ from the judges for his rendition of Daniel Caesar’s “Best Part.” The next show is expected to air on Tuesday, August 10, and during that show the judges will reveal which 36 acts will advance to the live shows.
Last March, Zac competed in the Morristown ONSTAGE competition and finished 2nd overall. Zac’s classmate, MBS junior Maya Bhide ’23, won the 18 and Under category with her version of the Mariah Carey song “Hero.”
At MBS, Zac is a member of the Upper School Chorus and has performed for the community as part of several All-School Meetings as well as last spring’s CultureFest.
