Anderson Library held its final Wellness Wednesday of the year this week as students gathered to unwind with snacks and drinks, and play a variety of boardwalk amusement games created by 9th Graders in Dr. Chris Payette’s Mathematical Physics class.
Dr. Payette’s students designed a variety of boardwalk or amusement game that would be accessible to individuals with a particular disability. The games included a basketball game for people with muscular dystrophy, a ring toss game for visually-impaired individuals, and a skeeball game for people who have lost arms through amputation.
As part of the Wellness Wednesday, students were also able to create their own support animal (turtles, worms, eagles, and more) out of clay, DIY stickers, and special library spirit temporary tattoos created by MBS graphic design students.
