Congratulations to MBS graduate Ryan Waters ’17, who was recently named the Swimmer of the Meet at the 2019 Patriot League Swim Championships as he helped the Navy Midshipmen take first place overall.
Waters, a sophomore at the U.S. Naval Academy, was a member of the winning 800 freestyle relay team, and he also won the 200 and 500 freestyle while placing second in the 1600 freestyle.
Last year, he won the 500 freestyle at the Patriot League Championship and was named the CollegeSwimming.com National Swimmer of the Week on December 13.
At Morristown-Beard School, Waters won the state title in the 500 freestyle as a junior and senior and the 200 freestyle as a senior. He garnered All-County and All-State honors both seasons and served as captain of the team in his final year.
