Vocal and Instrumental Concert Takes Center Stage

The MBS Winter Concert series continued on Wednesday night, December 11th as members of the 6th Grade Vocal Ensemble, Middle School Chorus, Upper School Chorus, and Upper School String Ensemble took center stage in Founders Hall.

The audience was treated to a range of music – from traditional folk songs and holiday favorites to classical compositions.

Highlights included “Danny Boy” performed by the 6th Grade Vocal Ensemble, “the Bruno Mars song “Count On Me” sung by the Middle School Chorus, The Nutracker’s “Dance of the Reed Flutes” played by Kailyn Williams and David Gold, and the Upper School String Ensemble's performance of “Concerto Grosso in D Major.”

The Upper School Chorus finished the show in impressive style – with selections that included the Stephen Schwartz song “Beautiful City” and “Dream A Little Dream of Me” before closing with three holiday songs — “Christmas Time is Here,” “Carol of the Bells,” and “Hallelujah Chorus.”

Congratulations to all of the student performers, faculty/staff and members of the backstage crew for a fantastic show!
