Upper School Holds Virtual Academic Presentation

Upper School Holds Virtual Academic Presentation

MBS held a virtual Upper School Academic Night on Thursday, February 18 with a video program designed to give 9th, 10th, and 11th Grade parents an overview of new curricular initiatives, courses and electives, and the scheduling process.

After hearing general information about the School’s academic program and philosophy, parents learned about exciting new interdisciplinary programming which MBS will begin offering for the upcoming school year.  Department chairs provided information specific to their disciplines, and faculty shared new elective offerings for next year.  Parents also heard from several seniors who described their academic experiences and provided insights to help families plan for the course request process.

Next week 9th, 10th, and 11th Grade students will engage with this video presentation in their advisory groups, where they will have the opportunity to ask questions, find answers, and discuss their own individual pathways within the academic program.

This presentation (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzLvO16I_98&feature=youtu.be) will be available for viewing online through Sunday night, February 21, and then again beginning on Wednesday, February 24th.
