Twenty-One Middle School Students Engage in Diversity Retreat

Last weekend, a group of 21 Middle School students participated in a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) Retreat in Blairstown, NJ. Led by the MBS Office of DEIB, the retreat provided Middle School students with opportunities to engage in ice breakers, workshops surrounding identity, leadership, outdoor exploration, and many fun evening events like a paint night.

The retreat was designed to help students develop a deeper understanding of themselves and the lived experiences of others.

Participants in the overnight retreat included: Ashley Badcock, Evan Cadet, Haley Chestnut-Stein, Jamie Cofer, Julia Covey, Kelly Cross, Ari Feldman, Brooke Gildar, Elise Karosen, Lilyana Karosen, Alex Kothari, Viviana Lisk, Derek Liu, Rohan Pally, Jay Phadke, Miles Robbins, Anjali Sankar, Emily Schwegel, Blake Tiger, Nick Tucker, and Rahul Vaidyanathan.
