Track & Field Team Earns Medals and Sets Records at County Championships

The MBS track & field team sped past the competition at the Morris County Championships on May 16th and 17th at Boonton High School. The team’s impressive performance included two gold medals, two silver medals, two bronze medals, one sixth-place medal, and new School records by Chloe Higgins ‘24 and Raidah Karriem ‘25.

Junior Chloe Higgins broke her own School record in the 200-meter dash (25.67 seconds), placed 2nd in the 400-meter dash (58.15 seconds), and was 9th in the 400-meter hurdles (1:09.39 seconds). Sophomore Raidah Karriem also set a new School record in the 100-meter dash (12.69 seconds) and placed 6th in the 100-meter dash hurdles (15.83 seconds). 

On the boys' side, Tristen Miscia ‘23 was awarded the gold medal for long jump (22-2.75). Spencer Anderson ‘24 earned a gold medal in the 100-meter dash (10.89 seconds) and placed 3rd in the 200-meter dash (22.45).
