An overcast day at MBS got a little sunnier on Wednesday, May 29th as Maggie and Bonnie – two therapy dogs from Creature Comfort Pet Therapy in Morris Plains – visited campus during the lunch periods to spread some happiness. The visit was coordinated by Mental Health Matters, a student-led club designed to increase awareness and reduce the stigma around mental health.
Therapy dogs are trained to provide affection and comfort to people in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, and retirement homes.
This is the third year that Morristown-Beard School has partnered with Creature Comforts.
