Tartaglione '21 Represents MBS at National Women in Sports Day

Congratulations to MBS senior Kaitlyn Tartaglione ’21, who was selected by her coaches to represent Morristown-Beard School at the virtual New Jersey celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

This year marks the 35th observance of this event, which highlights the extraordinary achievements of women and girls in sports. Traditionally, the NJSIAA celebrates the day with a luncheon and a Seton Hall women’s basketball game. This year’s event will be held online with Marilyn McNeil, Monmouth University athletic director, serving as the keynote speaker.

Kaitlyn Tartaglione is a dedicated three-sport athlete at MBS, participating in field hockey, swimming, and lacrosse. In November, she signed a Letter of Intent to play Division I lacrosse for the University of Connecticut Huskies next year.

Although her junior lacrosse season was cancelled due to the pandemic, Tartaglione has amassed some truly impressive statistics as a freshman and sophomore at Morristown-Beard School.  She scored 78 goals and had 25 assists as a sophomore, eclipsing the 100-career goal mark, and set the School record for most points in a season. In just two seasons at MBS, she has a total of 113 goals and 45 assists.
