Students Prepare for Sicily Trip with Cultural Enrichment Workshop

Participants in this spring's MBS trip to Sicily got a taste of Italian cuisine on Tuesday, October 25 by making fresh pasta as part of their first cultural enrichment workshop.  The activity provided a way for the students to get excited about the trip and get to know each other better.

With Italian music playing in the background, chaperone Jen Laviola taught the students how to make homemade pasta. They combined eggs and four, kneaded the dough, and then ran it several times through a pasta extruder to produce thin, even sheets.

The Sicily trip chaperones are planning several more enrichment workshops before the group embarks on their trip from March 11 – 18, 2023.
