This past Tuesday, MBS students Jerry Meranus ’24, Clara Paynter ’25, Peter Buchanan ’25, Sophie Sullivan ’25, and Gwyneth Geoghan ’25 participated in the Morris County Youth Wellness Summit at Drew University. They were accompanied by Upper School counselors Barbara Smith and Sean Latino.
The students engaged in interactive breakout sessions and experienced powerful panel discussions that addressed holistic wellness, with a focus on coping skills, leadership, self-esteem, and healthy relationships.
Throughout the day, wellness techniques were shared with the students on a variety of topics including preparing for college and adult life, toxic friendships, and building effective communication skills.
“The day was a success, and we hope to make this an annual event for our Upper School students,” said Counselor Barbara Smith.
