Students Make and Deliver Lunches for Bridges Outreach

On Sunday, September 29, MBS students gathered in the Dining Hall, where they made more than 200 bag lunches to help feed those in need through Bridges Outreach.

Students met in the Dining Hall early Sunday morning and prepared the sandwiches and snack bags. After packing the food, students were able to participate in the “Bridges run” with faculty chaperones Lori Kretten P '28 and Katie Pepper P '15. The students hand-deliver the lunches along with hygiene kits and hot soup to local food and housing-insecure individuals.

MBS participates in three “Bridges runs” a year. Community service is a cornerstone of the Morristown Beard School educational experience, and helps MBS students build character and gain self-confidence on their journey to becoming productive and socially responsible citizens.

Student participants included Bridges club leaders Evan Daniels '26, Katherine Chandler '26, Marilee Vartanian '26, as well as Nimal Amarasiri '26, Jamie Cofer '28, Lucas Fingerman '27, Sophie Kotkin '26, Charlotte Kretten '28, Giovanna Lattarulo '28, Michael Lattarulo '27, Bridget Sherman '26, Thomas Tucci '27.
