Students Engage in Self-Exploration & Awareness Retreat

Last weekend, a group of 21 MBS students and four faculty chaperones participated in a Self-Exploration & Awareness (SEA) Retreat in Blairstown, NJ. The retreat was spearheaded by students Alice McNamara ’24 and Gabrielle Wolin ’24 in conjunction with the Office of DEIB, and provided students with an opportunity to explore different aspects of identity and mindfulness while engaging in lots of fun bonding activities like a painting night, a build-a-bear workshop, and a music circle.

Throughout the weekend, students participated in group meditations, journaling, a gallery walk, outdoor time, and games. Along the way, they gained self-awareness while celebrating their common bonds with their classmates.

Student participants included: Erica Adu ’24, Andi Bergman ’25, Maya Bhide ’23, Kaitlin Blount ’23, Katherine Chandler ’26, Allison Delzo ’26, Jacob Frohlich ’26, Cole Heck ’25, Rachel Jack ’23, Juliette Joubran ’24, Julia Karosen ’26, Alice McNamara ’24, Oluwatomiwa Oluwasola ’23, Tyler Pottratz ’26, Gabriel Prusan ’25, Kayla Ruggiero ’24, Isabella Villanova ’24, Indiya Weinmann ’25, Gabrielle Woliin ’24, Alyssa Wooden ’25, and Camila Zamora ’23.

They were accompanied by faculty chaperones Stephanie Galvez, Lindsay Johnson, Klarissa Karosen, and Tahj Valentine.
