Students Embark on Hawaiian Adventure During Spring Break

This March, Morristown Beard School sponsored an exciting spring break trip to Hawaii. Seventeen Upper School students and three faculty chaperons got a chance to engage in a range of activities: exploring Volcanoes National Park, hiking to a black sand beach, surfing in Kona, snorkeling, and much more!

Trip highlights included: waterfall rappelling, visiting a sustainable farm, exploring lava tubes and caverns, and hiking into Green Sand Beach. 

The group also snorkeled in Kona aboard the Manta Ray, toured a coffee plantation, took surfing lessons, and flew to Honolulu where they visited the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor. 

Student participants included: Jack Bailey ’24, Julia Bavoso ’23, Tommy Cotter ’24, Nico Fonseca ’24, Jake Goldstein ’23, Abigail Korb ’23, Zach Levine ’23, Evangeline Lisk ’25, Dylan Mandel ’23, Gavin McEvoy ’24, Katherine Norweg ’23, Ava Pillari ’23, Hailey Rollins ’23, Logan Scheffler ’23, Logan Turner ’26, Jacqlyn Velikiy ’24, and Isabella Villanova ’24. They were accompanied by faculty chaperones Brad Turner, Andrea Silvestri, and Dennis Evangelista.
