Ski Team Places 2nd Overall in State Championship

The MBS ski team placed third on Thursday, February 28th in the Slalom State Championship at Mountain Creek and finished in second place for the Overall State Championship. The team was led by senior Alex D’Alessandro ’19, who finished the season as the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Second Overall Male. 

Earlier in the week, the MBS ski team finished second overall out of 14 teams in the Giant Slalom State Championship races. Alex D’Alessandro placed second individually while sophomore Branden Hawks ’21 finished fourth. Sophomore Nikki D’Alessandro ’21 was 31stoverall, followed closely by Jeseper Trapness ’19, who finished 35th, to round out the top four scorers for Morristown-Beard School.  Jackson Downey ’22 and Justin Recupero ’19 also skied well for the Crimson.

The MBS ski team finished the regular season with an impressive 21-5 record.  

On Friday, March 1st, MBS skiers Alex D’Alessandro, Branden Hawks, Jesper Trapness, and Nikki D’Alessandro will now compete in the Race of Champions. Go Crimson!
