Seth Kaplan '21 Named Boys Ice Hockey Player of the Week

Congratulations to MBS boys ice hockey captain Seth Kaplan ’21, who was named the Morris Sussex Hockey Report Player of the Week.  In the Crimson’s past two games, Kaplan tallied five goals and three assists.

Kaplan, who surpassed the 100 career point milestone this year, led MBS (5-1-1) to two key victories against Top 20 teams this past week — a 7-2 win over No. 10 Pingry and an 8-3 victory against No. 15 Morris Knolls.  Against Pingry, Kaplan had two quick goals as the Crimson jumped out to a 6-0 lead after the first period. He completed the hat trick by adding another goal just a minute into the second period.

A day later, Kaplan notched two goals and an assist to lead MBS to a win over Morris Knolls.

The MBS boys ice hockey team is currently ranked No. 6 in the state by NJ.com and will take on the Chatham Cougars (2-3) on February 24 at 7:45 p.m. at Mennen Arena.
