Sciarra '22 Collects Used Equipment to Help Youngsters Play Baseball and Softball

Great job by MBS junior Michael Sciarra ’22, who recently completed two more collections for the nonprofit organization Pitch In For Baseball & Softball, which accepts and distributes used equipment for children so that they can play regardless of their financial circumstances.

His April drive was another huge success, and he is especially grateful for the donations from MBS School Nurse Bridget Marcato and Coach Scott Schroeder.

Michael began this endeavor in the winter of 2020 by placing a box at MBS where students could donate their sports equipment. He also collected throughout his hometown, local baseball facilities, and at his gym.

He has completed four collections so far and is considering another in the future.
