Mrs. Rachel's Advisory Volunteers at Food Pantry

The MBS 8th Grade Class began this year’s partnership with the Interfaith Food Pantry on Wednesday, October 2nd as Mrs. Rachel’s advisory volunteered at the organization’s headquarters in Morris Plains.

The students got a tour of the facility, learned about food insecurity, and put together bags for emergency food kits.

Each 8th Grade advisory will be visiting the IFP during the year. The next scheduled trip will take place on Thursday, November 7th when Mr. Corbo’s advisory visits the IFP.

Established in 1994, the Interfaith Food Pantry is a non-denominational, non-profit organization of “neighbors helping neighbors” committed to ending hunger and supporting self-sufficiency. Through its community partners, the organization provides food, education and resources to inspire confidence and hope to Morris County families in need.  To learn more about the Interfaith Food Pantry, please visit www.mcifp.org
