Mr. Sturgeon's Advisory Volunteers at Food Pantry

Morristown-Beard School’s partnership with the Interfaith Food Pantry continued on Wednesday, February 19th as Mr. Sturgeon’s 8th Grade advisory volunteered at the organization’s headquarters in Morris Plains.

The students got a tour of the facility, learned about food insecurity, and helped make bags and organize food supplies that were donated to the organization.

Each 8th Grade advisory visited the IFP during the year. The next scheduled trip for the 8th Grade will take place on Thursday, April 9th when the entire class will volunteer at the Community FoodBank in Hillside.

Established in 1994, the Interfaith Food Pantry is a non-denominational, non-profit organization of “neighbors helping neighbors” committed to ending hunger and supporting self-sufficiency. Through its community partners, the organization provides food, education and resources to inspire confidence and hope to Morris County families in need.  To learn more about the Interfaith Food Pantry, please visit www.mcifp.org
