Morristown-Beard School’s partnership with the Interfaith Food Pantry continued on November 6thas Mr. Corbo’s 8th Grade advisory volunteered at the organization’s headquarters in Morris Plains.
The students got a tour of the facility, learned about food insecurity, what a ‘Client Choice Pantry’ means, and put together bags for emergency food kits.
Each 8th Grade advisory will be visiting the IFP during the year. The next scheduled trip will take place on Wednesday, December 18th when Mr. Deisher’s advisory volunteers at the IFP.
Established in 1994, the Interfaith Food Pantry is a non-denominational, non-profit organization of “neighbors helping neighbors” committed to ending hunger and supporting self-sufficiency. Through its community partners, the organization provides food, education and resources to inspire confidence and hope to Morris County families in need.
