Middle School Mural Unveiled in the Commons

Middle School Mural Unveiled in the Commons

After several months of collaboration with professional artist Dan Fenelon, the MBS Middle School mural was officially unveiled in the Middle School Commons on Friday, May 17. Throughout the spring, each Middle School student worked in their Advisory to create a part of the composition.

The colorful 3D mural is centered around the School’s six Core Values (Personal Responsibility, Awareness of Diverse Perspectives, Engagement, Tenacity, Independence of Mind, and Humor & Humility). Throughout the process, Mr. Fenelon worked with the students to translate those values into symbols and think about ways to represent them visually.

“We didn’t want this to simply be a poster,” said Mr. Fenelon. “We wanted to create a legacy work that would last for years and years.”

Stop by and enjoy!
