Middle School Gardening Club Plants Variety of Fruits and Vegetables
On a picture-perfect spring day on Tuesday, the Middle School Gardening Club – the “Pepper Pals” – planted a wide variety of fruits and vegetables near the Math & Science Center including spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, squash, melons and radishes.
“The goal of the club is to help students physically connect with the outdoors while learning about where our food comes from and the process of growing healthy foods,” said faculty advisor Heather Everett.
During the year, the group maintains a garden in front of the MSC as well as a small plot of land behind the building.
Club members include: Madison Blount ’28, AJ Heck ’28, Lilyana Karosen ’28, Rohan Pally ’28, and Anna Wade ’28.
