There was plenty of excitement on campus on Thursday, September 9 as Morristown Beard School kicked off the 2021-2022 academic year with Community Day, and students were able to meet new Head of School Liz Morrison.
Mrs. Morrison is the first woman to serve as Head of School for MBS since The Morristown School and The Beard School merged 50 years ago. She spoke to each grade individually in Founders Hall and encouraged students to practice kindness, take risks, and try new activities this year. You may read a transcript of her remarks here.
In addition to class meetings with Mrs. Morrison, the day consisted of advisor group meetings and activities, summer reading discussions, and social media workshops.
