MBS to Host 7th Annual Special Olympics Game on March 12

The 7th annual Special Olympics basketball game will be held on Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m. in the Main Gym. This year’s game will be held in memory of Special Olympics athlete Sean Nelligan, who died unexpectedly last June. Sean was the brother of MBS graduate Meg Nelligan ’16, who started the charity event in 2014.

Once again, members of the MBS boys and girls basketball teams will take the court alongside athletes from Storm, a Special Olympics basketball team, for a night of fun and fundraising. All proceeds from the game and concession sales will benefit the Special Olympics.

Tickets are $5, and will be available at the door.

The event continues a tradition started by MBS graduate Meg Nelligan '16, whose brother Sean was a dedicated member of the Special Olympics basketball team and a beloved part of our Morristown-Beard community.
