MBS Teacher and Students Staging Community Theater Production of "Finding Nemo, Jr."

MBS Middle School students Olivia Andrade-Marin ’30 and Jamie Cofer ’28 are currently starring in a community theater production of Finding Nemo, Jr. at Pebble Players in Summit. Last weekend, a group of their classmates attended the show, which is being directed and choreographed by MBS Design Arts teacher Jaimie Bass.

Olivia Andrade-Marin plays the role of Gill and Jamie Cofer appears in the role of Bloat in the production, which features actors ages 8-14 from many local towns. MBS teacher Jaimie Bass, who has been working with Pebble Players for more than 10 years, serves as the show’s director, choreographer, set designer, and set painter.

MBS sibling Luke Neuer is also active with the production as the lightboard operator.

Disney’s Finding Nemo Jr. is a 60-minute musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by Frozen’s award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Featuring memorable songs such as “Just Keep Swimming,” “Fish Are Friends Not Food,” and “Go With the Flow,” Finding Nemo Jr. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.

Pebble Players had three shows last weekend and will stage the show again on Friday, January 26, Saturday, January 27 (sold out), and Sunday, January 28 (sold out). For tickets to Friday’s show, please click here.
