MBS Stages a Powerful Adaptation of "Mother Courage"

Congratulations to the cast and crew for an outstanding adaptation of Bertolt Brecht’s anti-war play, Mother Courage and Her Children. This year’s Upper School play was staged outside on Senior Circle on November 13 and 14 – with the dark, chilly evenings intensifying the powerful effect of the play. 

The timeless anti-war epic, which was adapted and directed by Nick Corley, chronicles 12 years in the life of merchant Mother Courage as she attempts to make enough money for her and her four children to survive the Thirty Years’ War of the 17th century. The stark concept was further enhanced by a minimal set design and stirring music.
