MBS Ski Team Places 1st in Slalom

The Morristown-Beard School ski team had a fantastic finish in its final slalom race of the regular season on Tuesday at Mountain Creek, placing first out of seven teams. Alex D’Alessandro ’19 and Branden Hawks ’21 finished first and second overall, respectively, and all six of the MBS racers placed in the top 16 out of 41 racers.

Senior Jesper Trapness ’19 finished fifth overall while sophomore Nikki D’Alessandro ’21 also cracked the top 10 yesterday, placing 9th.  Freshman Jackson Downey ’22 and senior Justin Recupero ’19 also skied well for MBS, placing 14th and 16th for the day.

The MBS ski team finished the regular season with an impressive 21-5 record.  They will compete in the giant slalom State Race on Tuesday, February 26th at 3 p.m. and the slalom Sate Race on Thursday, February 28th at 2 p.m.  This is the fifth consecutive year that the boys ski team has qualified for state racing.
