Records continued to fall this week as the MBS indoor track team competed at the Ocean Breeze Invitational on Saturday, February 4. Junior Spencer Anderson ’24 (55-meter dash, 200-meter dash) and freshman Martin Ajayi ’26 (800-meter dash) set new School records while senior Tristen Miscia ’23 placed first overall in the pentathlon.
Junior Spencer Anderson ’24 broke his own School record in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.50 and also set a new mark in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.59.
In the 800-meter race, freshman Martin Ajayi ’26 set a new School record, clocking in at 2:11.60.
Senior Tristen Miscia ’23 was crowned the pentathlon champion at the invitational, earning a total of 3,241 points. In his individual events, Tristen placed first in both the long jump (6.41) and 1000-meter run (2:56.83), second in the shot put (12.23), fifth in the high jump (1.74), and seventh in the 55-meter hurdles (8.72).
