MBS Girls Tennis Honored by Daily Record

Congratulations to the Morristown-Beard School girls varsity tennis team, which was selected by the Daily Record as one of the top 10 fall sports teams – of every varsity sport – in Morris County.

The Crimson (12-3) were singled out for being undefeated against Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference competition, and for earning the No. 3 seed in NJSIAA Non-Public B North.

MBS finished second overall in the Morris County Tournament on September 22^nd, and were led by Hannah Blake ’21 and Sophie Schramm ’22, who won the Morris County title for first doubles with a 6-4, 7-5 victory over Chatham. Molly Michel ’20 advanced to the semifinals in third singles, as did Katie McDonald ’20 and Julia Abbott ’20.

The Morristown-Beard School girls varsity tennis program is under the direction of alumnus Brett Michel ’86.
