MBS Girls Tennis Honored by Daily Record

Congratulations to the Morristown-Beard School girls varsity tennis team, which was selected by the Daily Record as one of the top 10 fall sports teams – of every varsity sport – in Morris County.

The Crimson (12-3) were singled out for being undefeated against Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference competition, and for earning the No. 3 seed in NJSIAA Non-Public B North.

MBS finished second overall in the Morris County Tournament on September 22nd, and were led by Hannah Blake ’21 and Sophie Schramm ’22, who won the Morris County title for first doubles with a 6-4, 7-5 victory over Chatham.  Molly Michel ’20 advanced to the semifinals in third singles, as did Katie McDonald ’20 and Julia Abbott ’20.

The Morristown-Beard School girls varsity tennis program is under the direction of alumnus Brett Michel ’86.

Go Crimson!
