MBS Fall Play Nominated for Four MSU Theater Night Awards

The Morristown-Beard School production of You Can’t Take It With You, produced last November, has been honored with four nominations in the annual Montclair State University Theater Night Awards.

The show was nominated for Outstanding Overall Production of a Comedy and the entire cast was nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Production.  In individual performance categories, Iain Jaeger ’19 was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy and Rebecca Tone ’19 was nominated as Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy.

The MSU Theater Night Awards, sponsored by the University’s Department of Theater and Dancer, rewards excellence in the production of high school plays.  More than 70 high schools from throughout the state of New Jersey were entered in the competition this year.

Morristown-Beard’s Theater Program has participated since the inaugural year, receiving more than 30 nominations in various categories over the years, and winning more than 15 awards in both performance and technical categories.  This year’s awards will be handed out in a ceremony at Montclair State University on Monday, May 20th.
