MBS Completes First Weekly COVID-19 Testing

MBS Completes First Weekly COVID-19 Testing

As part of its ongoing efforts to protect the community, Morristown-Beard School started weekly saliva-based testing this week. Thanks to all members of the community for helping to make the first collection on December 1st run so smoothly!

“It went really well. Everyone was in great spirits and happy to do their part to support the School and keep us safe,” said Associate Head of School Darren Burns. “We have continued to add and adopt new protocols and procedures to keep our community safe and connected on campus. Pool testing is the latest version of this charge.”

Mr. Burns also noted that the collection was a real community effort as various departments, including Tech, Buildings & Grounds, Security, Nursing, and other staff members went above and beyond to make this a successful endeavor.

The School took in more than 700 samples on December 1. All tests have been collected and sent to the lab. We hope to have results no later than the weekend. Please note that you will not be receiving a notification for negative test results.

Our next collection day will be Friday, December 11.  Test kits will be distributed on Thursday, December 10.
