MBS Celebrates World Book Day – with Burritos!

Members of the Morristown-Beard School community celebrated World Book Day on April 23rd by visiting the Anderson Library, where they wrote short reviews or recommendations for a book they read in the past year. Each person who wrote a review received a bookmark good for a free burrito or bowl from Chipotle!

First observed on April 23rd in 1995, World Book Day is an annual event organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).  The day is dedicated to promoting reading habits and celebrating the love for books.

The books recommended by members of the MBS community included: The Sandman by Neil Gaiman,The Abyss Surrounds Us by Emily Skrutskie, Educated by Tara Westover, and Turtles All the Way Down by John Green.  Look for the completed book reviews hanging in the colonnade outside of Anderson Library!
