Darren Burns P'19, '22 Named Next Associate Head of School at MBS

Morristown Beard School is pleased to announce the appointment of Darren Burns P'19, '22 as Associate Head of School effective July 1, 2026. A valued member of the Morristown Beard School community for more than 25 years, Darren currently serves as Chief Innovation Officer and is a member of the Senior Leadership Team. He joined the MBS community in 1998 as a Middle School Guidance Counselor and then served as the Head of the Middle School before serving as Head of the Upper School.

Darren earned a B.A. in English Literature with a minor in Education from Tulane University. He continued his education at New York University, where he received a Master's Degree in Applied Psychology.

Darren’s connection to Morristown Beard extends far beyond his professional contributions. He is the proud parent of two MBS alumni, Anna '19 and Bobby '22.
