MBS Alumni and Friends Gather for Two Florida Events

Current and former MBS parents, alumni and trustees gathered in Florida for two great events last weekend. On Friday, February 21st, MBS hosted a reception at Harbourside Place in Jupiter followed by an event at the Vero Beach Hotel & Spa on Saturday night, February 22nd.  

On Friday night, guests enjoyed hearing about the latest campus initiatives from MBS Headmaster Peter J. Caldwell and Director of Advancement Betsy Patterson. Attendees included trustee David Gately and his wife, Meg; alumnus and grandparent Lowell Jaeger ’58 and his wife, Joanne; and alumnus Bill Scarlett ’81.

On Saturday night in Vero Beach, guests included Beard School alumnae from the 1950s and 1960s, Morristown School alumni from the 1950s and 1960s, and Morristown-Beard alumni from the 1980s through the 2000s.  

Trustee and parent Gerry Scully, who was joined by his parents Bill and Marlyn Scully – a former trustee, spoke about the School’s new Center for Innovation & Design and other campus initiatives.  Guests also got an update on the School’s endowment from trustee and parent Paul Hawkins ’85.  Headmaster Peter J. Caldwell spoke about how the MBS community is charting its next five-year Strategic Plan. He also gave an update on Pamela Beniwal ’19, who was the inaugural recipient of the Morristown School Class of 1958 Humanitarian Award.
