MBS 8th Graders Engage in Activity to Learn about Food Insecurity

This week, the MBS 8th Grade Class met on the balcony of Founders Hall where they worked on an exercise to learn more about food insecurity.

The "Hunger Obstacle Course" allowed students to brainstorm solutions to solving food issues in different scenarios. This activity was a precursor to the community service they would be engaged in for the rest of the year.

Their first service opportunity will be to prepare breakfast bags for NJ Nourish, a local food pantry.  Students will also visit the Interfaith Food Pantry in February and April.
