Interfaith Pantry Visits MBS to Speak with 6th Graders

On Tuesday, Celeste Stracco, a volunteer at the Interfaith Food Pantry in Morristown, was a guest speaker for MBS grade 6 students. The Interfaith Food Pantry is the community service project for our MBS sixth graders. The students were given a presentation on why volunteering and helping at the pantry is beneficial. Students also were also reminded of the difference between hunger and food insecurity.

Starting this Tuesday. one advisory will visit the pantry for their community service. Each of the four 6th grade advisories will visit the pantry once this year.

Established in 1994, the Interfaith Food Pantry is a non-denominational, non-profit organization of “neighbors helping neighbors” committed to ending hunger and supporting self-sufficiency. Through its community partners, the organization provides food, education and resources to inspire confidence and hope to Morris County families in need.
