Last weekend, MBS Head of School Liz Morrison and Director of Anderson Library Erinn Salge participated in The Heads Network Women’s Leadership Seminar at the Asheville School in North Carolina.
The Heads Network, which is comprised of female heads of school from around the nation, is dedicated to bringing schools together to elevate women leaders. MBS Head of School Liz Morrison was one of nine heads from around the country to lead a session.
The conference showed participants the ropes on various aspects of being a head — from building your team, to clearing a path to headship (the session led by Ms. Morrison), to budgets, fundraising, and interviewing.
The group heard from a variety of current heads of school about their path to headship and networked with other women in different positions throughout the country.
