Lilli Warnock '23 Named Girls Ice Hockey Player of the Year

Congratulations to MBS senior captain Lilli Warnock ’23, who was named the 2022-23 Girls Ice Hockey Player of the Year by NJ.com. Lilli led the Crimson with 27 goals this season including nine game-winners. She also helped guide MBS – which received Team of the Year honors — to the inaugural Librera Cup title and a third consecutive state championship.

She closed her MBS ice hockey career with five goals in her last five games, including the first goal of the game in the state championship which gave the Crimson a huge lift in a close contest.

MBS Head Coach Bruce Driver said that the secret to Lilli’s success is in her “passion to play and her determination as a hockey player. She cares so much about the team and the program and winning and doing the right thing to help the team win.”

After graduating from Morristown Beard School, Lilli will play hockey at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire.  “It’s sad to leave the program you’ve been with for four years,” she said. “The coaches here have taught me a lot, especially about leadership and it’s a bittersweet moment for sure.”

Morristown Beard School also had four players named First Team All-State (Jessica Sperling ’24, Lilli Warnock ’23, Julie Jasaitis ’25, and Gracie Meyers ’23), two players named Second Team All-State (Kailin Kane ’24 and Brooklyn Chen ’24) and one Honorable Mention (Keira Redmond ’24).

Go Crimson!
