Latin Club Celebrates Saturnalia

Latin Club Celebrates Saturnalia

On Tuesday, the Latin Club celebrated Saturnalia, the ancient Roman holiday honoring Saturn, the god of agriculture, with a variety of traditions including overturning social norms, feasting, gift-giving and general merriment.

Students were invited to make sigillaria, figurines of people or animals traditionally given as gifts during Saturnalia. The club consuls (presidents) also provided ample candy for the participants to feast on!
