Klarissa Karosen Updates Parents on DEI Initiatives

On Thursday night, November 19, MBS Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Klarissa Karosen updated the community on the School’s DEI initiatives and the work of the Racial Justice Task Force as part of a special Zoom session.

The presentation began with a welcome from Head of School Peter Caldwell, who underscored the importance of the School’s DEI work and thanked the community for their commitment to these efforts.

Mrs. Karosen presented an overview of initiatives that are taking place, highlighting a number of areas including:  the work of the work of the Racial Justice Task Force and the DEI Committee, Curriculum updates, Cultural Competency and Ethical Leadership workshops, faculty professional development, faculty hiring procedures, and the formation of the Black Alumni Alliance.

MBS Director of Enrollment Management Robert Mitchell also provided an update from the Office of Admission regarding their DEI efforts.
