Jaeger and Kurz Honored for Sportsmanship

Congratulations to MBS seniors Iain Jaeger ’19 and Jenna Kurz ’19, who received the Winter Sportsmanship Awards at Upper School Morning Meeting on March 5th.

Iain Jaeger (boys swimming) and Jenna Kurz (girls ice hockey) were praised by their coaches for their positive attitude, for their commitment to fair play, for their exemplary treatment of others, and for their graciousness in winning and losing.

“This humble and selfless senior endeavored to be an example for others,” Coach Meredith Locasto said about Iain Jaeger. “We truly enjoyed coaching this young man this season with his dogged determination and steadfast temperament, and know that these qualities will surely set him up for success in life.”

Girls Ice Hockey Coach Bruce Driver praised Jenna Kurz, saying, “Although fairly quiet, her eagerness to help out her teammates and coaches is admirable. There is not a day that goes by when you won’t see a big smile on her face and it’s infectious. She conducts herself as a model student/athlete and is a wonderful representative of the core values MBS strives to instill in its community members.”

The winter Crimson Awards, which honor student-athletes who demonstrate outstanding character, commitment and leadership, will be presented at the year-end banquet in May.
