Humane Society Club Makes Fleece Tie Blankets for St. Hubert's Animal Shelter

Great job by the members of the MBS Humane Society Club, who made fleece tie blankets to donate to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Shelter in Madison this week.

A large group of students got together in the lobby of Founders Hall on Tuesday to make the fleece tie blankets, which will support the shelter’s bedding needs for its cats and dogs as winter approaches.

St. Hubert's, which has been in operation for more than 80 years, currently houses more than 100 cats available for adoption, as well as approximately 70 dogs and six small animals in need of homes.

The MBS Humane Society Club’s mission is to fundraise, donate, and visit the St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center with the goal of helping to get the animals adopted.

The club’s student leaders include Gabriella DiGeronimo ‘26, Tori Holdsworth ‘25, Kelsey Limbert ‘26, and Emma Teitelbaum ‘25. The faculty advisor is Dr. Janet Holdsworth.
