Girls Lacrosse to Play in Non-Public B Semifinals

The MBS girls lacrosse team advanced to the semifinals of the NJSIAA Non-Public B Tournament with a convincing 14-7 win over Villa Walsh at home on Monday, June 7. The 4th-seeded Crimson will now face the #1 seed, Trinity Hall, in the semifinals on Thursday, June 10 on the road.  

The Crimson (7-11) topped Villa Walsh behind five goals from senior Kaitlyn Tartaglione ’21, who also added two assists.  Talia Picozzi ’24 tallied four goals and an assist while Avery Garland ’21 added two goals and an assist. Joele Russomanno ’21, Phoebe Merrigan ’22 and Kathleen Degnan ’23 also scored for MBS. Goalie Keira Redmond ’24 turned away 12 shots to secure the victory. 

In the first round of the tournament, MBS defeated Gill St. Bernard’s, 17-10, at home.
