Morristown-Beard School will host its annual spring Blood Drive on Wednesday, March 6th from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Main Gymnasium on campus. All members of the community are encouraged to participate.
Anyone 16 years of age or older is eligible to donate blood (16 year-olds require parental permission). We really need support from our current and alumni parents, as well as any MBS alumni who live in the area!
New Jersey — and the entire metropolitan area — is in a blood emergency appeal at the moment, mostly due to the weather that caused the cancellation of many drives.
The spring blood drive is being led by faculty coordinator Laurie Hartman as well as student coordinators Lauren Smith ’19 and Shyam Popat ’19.
Senior captains are: Maggie Cotter, Joe DePoalo, Diana Nelson, Gena Pike, Lily Pinkin, Gianna Rella, Patrick Salazar, Anoushka Shah, and Corinne Worts.
Junior captains are: Kim Adams, Sara Blanchard, Haley Cipriano, JayShon DuBose, James Harvett, Sophia Martino, Tommy Mathews, Erjon Mersimi, Paige Sanderson, Evan Sanford, Emma Sherman, and Emery Tambor.
Appointments for blood donation are encouraged and are on a “first-come” basis, however walk-in donors are welcome. To reserve a time, please contact Laurie Hartman at lhartman@mbs.net or (973) 539-3032 ext. 547.
