Donate Blood at MBS on Thursday, October 24

Morristown-Beard School will host its annual fall Blood Drive on Thursday, October 24th from 2:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Main Gymnasium on campus. All members of the community are encouraged to participate.

Anyone 16 years of age or older is eligible to donate blood (16 year-olds require parental permission). There is currently a blood shortage in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan region, and we really need support from our current and alumni parents, as well as any MBS alumni who live in the area!

Every donation has the potential to save three lives, yet only about 10 percent of eligible donors actually donate blood.

The fall blood drive is being led by faculty coordinator Laurie Hartman as well as student coordinators Haley Cipriano ’20 and James Harvett ’20.

This fall’s Blood Drive captains are: Brigid Atkins ’21, Sylvie Bastardo ’21, Sara Blanchard ’20, Archie Cortiel ’20, Nicholas Lombardi ’21, Tommy Matthews ’20, Jared Pine ’21, Annabel Plante ’21, Mira Ramasamy ’22, Evan Sanford ’20, Katie Sengle ’21, Emma Sherman ’20, Lily Solomon ’21, Brianna Stewart ’21, Lucas Swanson ’21, Isabel Thierman ’21, Isabella Turndorf ’20, Will Watson ’20, and Kate Wenzel ’22.

Appointments for blood donation are encouraged and are on a “first-come” basis, however walk-in donors are welcome. To reserve a time, please contact Laurie Hartman at or (973) 539-3032 ext. 547.
