Con Law Class Stages Second Test Case of the Semester

Court was in session on Friday, January 14 as Eddie Franz’s Constitutional Law class staged a mock trial in Founders Hall examining the constitutionality of a 2018 Mississippi state law that banned abortion operations after the first 15 weeks of pregnancy.

The case was argued by Ellie Frohlich ’23, Zach Sussman ’22, Alex Markley ’22, and Dani Gates ’22 representing Jackson Women’s Health as well as Pierson Baum ’22, Andrew Bunn ’22, Kristin Bednarski ’22, and Natalie Hess ’22 representing the State of Mississippi.  

The Court was comprised of Camille Ferrell ’22, Rowan Posner ’22, Caroline Hepp ’22, Hannah Kotkin ’22, and Alex Taurman ’22.

The court will deliberate next week and will present its finding at Upper School Meeting on Friday.
